1. Use a Strong Brand Voice

Your brand voice is how you communicate with your audience. It should reflect your brand’s personality & values.

Determine Your Voice: Decide if your brand is casual, professional, quirky, etc.

Be Consistent: Use this voice consistently across all your content – from your website to social media posts.

2. Leverage User-Generated Content

User-generated content is authentic and can boost your brand’s credibility. And it is less work you have to do honestly!

Encourage Sharing: Ask your customers to share photos or reviews of your products.

Feature It: Highlight this content on your social media or website to show real people using your products or services.

3. Invest in High-Quality Visuals

Great visuals can make your brand stand out and look professional. This is ESPECIALLY important when it comes to your website. And if you don’t have a website, we can help you get one set up!

Hire a Photographer: If possible, hire a professional photographer to take high-quality images for your brand. We can help you with this, of course, with one of our branding photography shoots. ;)

Use Stock Photos: Worst case scenario… you can use stock images. We don’t recommend it because it is not truly representative of your brand but, you can definitely start there!

4. Create Engaging Blog Content

Blogging is a great way to share valuable information and improve your SEO. We do it!

Relevant Topics: Write about topics relevant to your industry or that your ideal customer will be interested in.

SEO Keywords: Use keywords that would point people to your website from search engines. We use words like “branding photographer,” “near Birmingham, Alabama,” and “content creation.” You will want to choose ones that pertain to your products or services.

Answer Questions: Address common questions your audience might have. (Pro tip: start to search something in Google and see the automated pop-ups. This will give you a sense of what people are searching for).

5. Utilize Social Media Stories

Stories are a popular feature on many social media platforms and can increase engagement with your current audience!

Behind-the-Scenes: Share behind-the-scenes content to show the human side of your brand and who you are as a business owner.

Daily Updates: Post daily updates, quick tips, or sneak peeks of upcoming products. This will help you stay top of mind. Use polls and questions on your stories to get people to engage. Once people engage, Instagram is more likely to show your stuff to them again.

6. Develop a Visual Style Guide

Set Guidelines: Create a style guide that outlines your brand’s visual elements, including fonts, colors, logos, and imagery.

Ensure Consistency: Use the style guide to keep all visual content consistent across different platforms and materials.
